James William Wesley Perry is an artist and I’m honored to be his Art Muse. Here’s my interview of him:
Tell me a little about yourself, where are you from, what mediums of art do you prefer.
Thank you, I am from Louisville, Kentucky, yet lived in Sydney for several years. After my mother passed from cancer when I was 16. I ached to continue with athletics as pursuing a vocation and life style that solely is about inner healing. And Figure Drawing/Sculpture as it coincides with this natural intent.
Do you do art professionally or as a hobby?
Professional, since I Double Majored in University with Kinesiology/ Fine Arts.
What kind of subjects usually inspire you?
People, Nature, and anything with a Human touch too.
For the drawings that you made of me, what techniques did you use? Waterless Lithography, Instead of Traditional Printmaking where you draw on the Stone you Draw on an Aluminum Plate.
Do you do paid commission work?
Usually, paid for local work and internet commissions. Star Bucks Gift Cards accepted.
Tell me about your biggest or coolest project that you’ve worked on.
The German Women’s National Soccer Team. I was assigned to them during the 2001 Nike Cup in Columbus, Ohio. As the Games were cancelled on 9/11 My Heart was burning to do something for them. I made a Print for everyone involved with the Team in my Into Printmaking Class for my First Assignment. Their Next Time in the States they won the Women’s 2003 World Cup.
Where can people find more of your art on the internet?
