Jessica Rundle was born in Texas, but grew up and lived in Spokane, Washington most of her life. She stayed local for college and went to Eastern Washington University. After college, she pursued her calling and became a personal trainer, high school coach, and fitness nutritionist. She still lives in Spokane and is the proud co-owner of Workout Anywhere. They are a husband and wife team helping busy people live happier and healthier lifestyles.
You are a personal trainer, strength and conditioning coach, fitness competitor and writer, and a CrossFit Athlete. How did everything get started for you to follow the fitness path? Have you always been active?
JR: My passion for fitness started in high school. I have always enjoyed being active and in high school, I was a multi-sport athlete. Team sport wise, I did: basketball, cheerleading, track & field, and cross-country. I also started lifting weights and mountain biking in high school.
My main focus for strength training was to enhance my athleticism for sports, but it ended up becoming a passion. After high school, I continued lifting weights, started running marathons, mountain biking, got into women’s figure competitions, and ultimately competing in CrossFit.
As a teenager, I already enjoyed applying different strength and fitness training protocols, but the real difference maker was comprehending the dynamics of good nutrition. I’ve always had a sluggish metabolism and I had some extra weight to lose after college. Thankfully, I pursued my dreams and became a personal trainer and through it all, I figured out how to outsmart my own metabolism and help others struggling with weight loss.
Being a fitness professional is something I love doing. There’s nothing better or more rewarding than helping others obtain better health.
You and your husband, Justin, came up with RundleFit’s Workout Anywhere. Can you tell us more about it? How did the idea of this program come about and what kind of services do you provide?
JR: Workout Anywhere is an online fitness program designed and programed by my husband and I. We have quick, effective, total body workouts that can be done from anywhere with little to no equipment. We use HIIT or metabolic conditioning styled workouts that target body fat and build lean muscle in short amounts of time.
Along with our all-level workouts, we have game changing nutrition plans and recipes with a graduated approach. Our fitness, nutrition, and coaching are included for an affordable fee of only $9.95/month. Overall, our program is a healthy lifestyle solution and not a fitness highlight. It’s definitely more profitable to cater towards the demands of instant gratification, but lasting results require lifestyle solutions (not to sell our program short, we provide members with phenomenal physical results within a short amount of time, but our goal is to make those healthy habits long term).
Basically, our live boot camps inspired our online training program. We started gravitating away from relying on equipment or weight routines and honestly, our clientele loved the change. Plus, the physical results have been exceptional. We’ve had the same boot campers that we started with and all have not only maintained their original goal over the years, but have transcended into bigger goals.
Workout Anywhere gives us the opportunity to serve a much larger audience. We’ve made it affordable, transportable, and stream-able (no more DVD’s), so that anyone, anywhere can Workout Anywhere.
As Team RundleFit, how has it been assisting others with their fitness and have any of your clients influenced you in regards to your own health and fitness?
JR: We love helping others reach their fitness goals. It is such a rewarding experience to change clients’ lives for the better. Our site, Workout Anywhere, has a growing fitness community where members challenge, encourage, and share and yes, we’ve been influenced by our own members. We’ve had members innovate recipes and offer feedback that has been invaluable to the improvement of Workout Anywhere. This is exactly what we wanted and will make for some epic fitness news with some of our soon-to-be updates and release of content.

With living a healthy and fit lifestyle, we’re curious, what does your daily diet look like? Do you give yourself “cheat days”?
JR: My daily diet consists of 5 small meals spaced about 3 hours apart and I aim for a gallon of water. My meals are balanced with lean protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats along with plenty of veggies and some fruit. I don’t think cheat days are smart, but an occasional splurge in moderation is key to not feeling deprived.
What does your training routine consist of? (Please include a few details – training split, sets/reps, exercises, types of cardio, etc.)
JR: On Monday/Wednesday/Friday I do total body home workouts from out Workout Anywhere training program. I also run on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday (close to 4 miles) and do CrossFit workouts 3-4x/week at CrossFit Spokane. I take a rest day once a week. This is the same day I prep my food.
In addition to your diet and training, do you believe in supplements? If so, which kinds do you use and what results have these given you?
JR: I do take a multi vitamin, fish oil and Progenex Recovery Protein. I get the majority of my vitamins, live enzymes and antioxidants from fresh veggies and fruit and a daily raw/fresh juice. I believe the best way to get your vitamins is through a healthy diet consisting of a majority of plant based foods like veggies and fruit.
We had the opportunity to work together in creating amazing photographs. How did you discover Natalie Minh Photography and came to the solution to work with us?
JR: I met Natalie at the Powertech fitness model search. I’ve stayed in contact with her since then and when I was offered the opportunity to be on the cover or Glam Today, Courtney Barber suggested her for shooting the cover. I am so glad she did.
Can you please describe the development and production process of your photo shoot, with Natalie and the team? How was your overall experience?
JR: It was a great photo shoot. Natalie is a wonderful photographer and easy to work with. I had my hair and makeup done by Eileen Sandoval and she did an amazing job. Then Natalie arrived and we started shooting. It was nice to be able to go to another location to get some different looks for my photos as well.
As an individual who understands the struggle of losing weight, what advice would you give someone who wants to transition their life towards a more healthy and fit lifestyle, but don’t know where to start?
JR: Start with small changes and build from there. This can be as simple as drinking more water throughout the day. Make it a habit and then pick another healthy habit to add in.
It is also a good idea to join a motivating group or have a coach for accountability. The key to a healthy lifestyle is to find a good, manageable balance and then progress gradually. If your eating habits are too extreme, managing this for the long run is nearly impossible.
What are your future plans and goals? Do you have any competitions in the works?
JR: My future plans are to continue growing Workout Anywhere by providing high quality training at an affordable price and make the brand the premier destination for creating sustainable healthy lifestyles over fitness highlights. In addition, we plan on having children soon, and I want to share my pregnancy experience and fit tips with moms and moms-to-be.
I recently competed at the North West CrossFit Regionals and had a wonderful time. I would love to compete again.
Any shout outs?
JR: I would like to say thank you to Natalie Minh for my amazing photos and to Glam Today magazine for featuring me on the cover. I would also like to give my husband Justin Rundle (@jrunfitpro) a shout out for being an amazing business friend, husband, and business partner.
Lastly, where can we find you on the Internet?
