What to drink during the workout for energy? No fancy pre-workout drinks here. Cheap, effective and we are using natural ingredients for healthy and sustained energy.

My favorite is to get an ice cold Jasmine Green tea, and add 1tbs of Raw Honey. That is it. Just sip on this throughout your workout and you will have a lot of healthy energy which will not send you crashing such as a Coffee.Simple sugars such as Honey, are good at certain periods of the day only. Those periods are before, during, and after your workout. Outside of that timeframe, try to minimize any sugar intake to promote stable blood sugar. Sugar gives us energy, and we only need to consume that energy when we need it – such before, during, and after physical activity of any kind.

 

Ingredients:

  • Ice cold Jasmine Green tea
    Honey

Green tea is packed with Antioxidants and a decent amount of Caffeine to give us that mental and physical boost.

 

Method:

  1. Get an ice cold Jasmine Green tea
  2. Then add 1tbs of Raw Honey.  Raw Honey has natural sugars from Glucose and Fructose, which are rather fast acting.
    These sugars, mixed with Caffeine from Green Tea will get into our blood stream and create a steady stream of healthy energy for up to 40-60min.
